The World Motocross Championship (MXGP) final will take place in Turkey's Afyonkarahisar province from the 3rd to the 4th of September 2022.
The event organizers highlighted that this event will take place under the auspices of the Turkish Presidency. The Federation of this event indicated that the MXGP World Motocross Championship, World Women's Motocross, and the European Motocross Championship (FIM) would all be held in Turkey, including the award ceremonies.
Anadolu Agency reported that the race would cover 1,725 meters on the hard-pack soil track of the Afyonkarahisar Motor Sports Center. And it will be broadcast in 186 countries around the world.
Afyonkarahisar's governor, Kubra Guran Yigitbası, said, "It is a great honor for our city to host the final of the world championship. As we celebrate our 100th anniversary of the Great Offensive, the eyes of the whole world will again turn to both our country and city," she added, referring to the Turkish War of Independence, which led to the Republic of Turkiye being found in 1923.
