With COVID19 controls gradually lifting, we are ready to welcome you to Turkey. On June 1st Turkey updated its pandemic related restrictions including COVID-Testing requirements for most international travelers. Passengers (regardless of vaccination status) from only 12 countries will be required to submit a PCR test within 72 hours prior to travel and/or quarantine on arrival. All others traveling from the least restricted countries are asked to submit evidence of their full vaccination status at least 14 days before entry and/or proof of recovery from Covid within the last six months. If unable to submit documentation, you must have a negative PCR test result taken 72 hours before arrival or a negative rapid antigen result taken 48 hours before entrance to Turkey. While a nationwide curfew is still in effect for residents, it is much more lenient with curfew on Monday-Saturday from 22:00-5:00 and a full lockdown on Sunday. Visitors are still exempt. June 14th was a record-breaking day for Turkey with 750,000 appointments made to get a shot of the COVID-19 vaccine. With the arrival of a 4.2 million large shipment of Pfizer BioNTech vaccine doses, shots are now available for 40+ age group and people employed in many industries from law to transportation, media and the food sector. Nearly 25% of the country’s population have been given their first dose, out of that 13.4 million have received two doses. Turkey will continue to ramp up its inoculation efforts as even more shipments are planned for the month of June.
