Do you like adventures? Are you a fan of adrenaline? If the answer to these questions is yes, you are in the right place. We already know that Istanbul is a city known for its history, its mosques, its gastronomy, its people, and countless other things. What not many know is that the metropolis is also suitable for lovers of theme and amusement parks. There are parks for all tastes and all ages, and some of them are even world-famous.
Theme parks are usually the perfect place to disconnect and spend a different day with family or friends. For many, they tend to be like a world parallel to the reality in which they live, a place to release adrenaline and put their adventurous instinct to the limit. For others, they are usually the ideal place to celebrate birthdays or special events. But luckily, Istanbul also has theme parks for those who prefer something quieter, for those who don't enjoy putting their bodies upside down while riding a roller coaster.
If you would like to spend the day at a theme park, here are four of the leisure complexes that have caught our attention the most. We hope you have a good time!
Vialand
Vialand, formerly known as Isfanbul, is considered one of the best theme parks in the world. It is located in the Eyüpsultan district, in the European part of Istanbul, and is famous for hosting the fourth-largest roller coaster in the world. It is a really huge complex, in which there are not only attractions but also shopping areas, restaurants, and other leisure areas. It is the perfect place to spend the day with family or friends, as this complex has all the necessary facilities to guarantee a perfect experience.
Xtrem Aventures
Xtrem Aventures is a unique place, ideal for the most adventurous and daring. It is located in the Sairyer district, in a forest area of about 8,000 square meters. It is an outdoor amusement park, which offers its participants activities such as zip lines, free fall, and tracks with nets. Specifically, it has a nets track for the little ones, between three and eight years old, and another high nets track with four levels, placed at a maximum height of 180 meters, designed for people over eight years of age. It is an ideal place to release adrenaline and have fun differently.
Legoland
Thirdly, we present you Legoland, an entertainment area for children located in the Forum shopping center, in the Bayrampasa district. It is a world-renowned space, as Lego has other similar centers throughout Europe and Asia, although the one in Istanbul is smaller than others such as the one in Günzburg, in Germany, which is designed to be a big theme park. In the case of Legoland in Istanbul, visitors can visit attractions designed for children between three and ten years old, as well as observe iconic buildings that have been made with Lego pieces. It is a very curious place, ideal to spend an afternoon with the little ones.
Miniatürk
Miniatürk is a mandatory stop for all those who travel to Istanbul for a few days, or for those who live in the city and want to make a different plan. It is a miniature park, located in the Beyoglu district, on the northeast coast of the Golden Horn. It was inaugurated in 2003, becoming one of the largest miniature parks in the world, with a total area of 60,000 square meters. Inside, you will be able to observe dozens of scenarios of emblematic sites made in miniature. It's a show, it's like living in a toy town. In addition, Miniatürk also has restaurants, cafes, gift shops, a children's playground, and an outdoor entertainment area. A perfect place to spend the afternoon with the family.
